End of the assault gun ban
The ban on assault guns ended earlier this week. While I'm not somebody who felt strongly either way about it, I do have some observations about it.
1) If someone wants to commit a serious crime where they feel the need for an assault gun, I don't think they are going to let a little ol' ban stand in their way.
2) Supply and demand. If there is a demand, there usually will be a supply.
3) There's the argument that we need to keep these weapons out of the hands of terrorists. OK, I'll bite. First, check point 1 above. Second, I don't want to see terrorists have these weapons either, but if we take this as far as we can, how will we open boxes?
